Camden Markets: Life Between The Stalls


The vibrant Camden Markets in North London have been in existence for over 40 years, supporting independent traders who prefer to do business in a more traditional and personal way. Camden Markets and the eccentric community of workers within them are integral to the unique identity of the area. Gentrification of local markets nationally is becoming prevalent, and Camden Markets is the latest victim. With a large part of the markets closed down and demolished, this project documents the markets at a historic time when the future of the community is unknown. With the livelihoods of the stall traders and the existence of the market’s family-like community at risk, this project focuses on those who will be most impacted by the gentrification of Camden Markets: the independent traders. Part of a multi-platform documentary project, this series of portraits taken of the traders display a community at risk and further documents the diversity of the market.

Inspired by the social networking phenomenon that was #nomakeupselfie, I explored the partnership of feminism and the action of taking self-portraits aka "selfies" and the result was this series of portraits.

Hello Fargo: A North Dakotan urban gallery


A documentary photography project documenting the streets and alleyways of Fargo, North Dakota and the street art that breeds inside them. This project was developed into a self-published book. No post-production editing was undertaken on these images.

La Belle Époque


Experimenting with pinhole photography, this project is a street photography series made up of 9 diptychs. Inspired by the work of Henri Cartier-Bresson & Eugène Atget, I wanted to see if it was possible to take photos of a city and make the viewer believe they are looking at another city all through the use of the subject and without digitally manipulating the photos in post-production. Whilst the black and white pinhole photographs display the old Paris like elements of the streets of Lincon, England, the digital, colour photographs establish the environment where these old elements can be found.
